A man appeared in court yesterday charged with robbing pensioners in a Moray fishing town.
Nicolas Gallon was arrested after a 79-year-old man was allegedly robbed on December 6 and a 77-year-old woman became the victim of an alleged robbery five days later.
The crimes are said to have happened in the Buckie area.
The 41-year-old has also been charged with breaking into a house in Strathlene in November and stealing property.
Gallon faced two theft charges as well as a robbery and assault and separate robbery charge when he appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court yesterday.
He appeared in private on petition and made no plea or declaration. He was remanded in custody and committed for further examination.
Gallon is due to appear in court again for full committal on December 22.
