A man who stole from an NHS clinic in Inverness has been sentenced to six months in prison.
Duffy Reid took NHS uniforms, face masks and a quantity of adrenaline from the NHS Highland premises, along with cameras and iPads.
He was caught out after support staff at his accommodation spotted him with three “large bags.”
Reid appeared for sentencing at Inverness Sheriff Court having previously admitted a single charge of theft from the Highland Podiatry Centre in Abban Street, Inverness.
Fiscal depute Karen Poke said that on July 21 last year a support worker at the Highland Homeless Trust observed Reid leaving his accommodation at 10.20pm “not in possession of any bag.”
He returned around 2am the following morning with “three large bags” rousing the suspicion of the witness.

Police were contacted and the bags were searched and found to contain the clothing, iPads and webcams as well as other items.
The accused was intoxicated and offered no explanation of why he had the items, all of which were recovered and returned.
It was later discovered that the premises he had taken them from were unsecured.
Solicitor Clare Russell, for Reid, told the court her client could not remember the incident.
She said: “While he accepts full responsibility for it he has absolutely no recollection of events.”
Ms Russell added that her client, who struggled with drug addiction, surmised that he had planned to sell the items on for cash.
Sheriff David Sutherland sentenced Reid, of Kessock Road, Inverness, to six months imprisonment.
