A remorseless domestic abuser who was jailed for repeatedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend with scissors has been sending her death threats from prison, the Press and Journal can reveal.
In a series of vile text messages, Kevin Anderson told her, “am no wife beater you f***** deserved it…i will show you no f****** mercy…my only regret is that your (sic) still breathin.”
The 26-year-old, who’s locked up at HMP Grampian in Peterhead, used an unauthorised mobile phone to send the threatening and abusive messages last month.
In another text, he described himself as “the most dangerous man on the planet” because he now has “nothing to loose (sic)”.
Anderson is serving a custodial sentence of three years and nine months, backdated to August last year, after a court heard how he made another woman dig a grave for their miscarried baby with her bare hands.
But less than a week before Anderson was sentenced by the sheriff on Friday, he was breaking more laws by contacting one of the women who bravely spoke out and helped put him behind bars.
On June 25, he texted the victim: “Im going to ruin your pathetic little life you c**** im killin you.
“Think i give a f*** what anyone thinks about me im comin for you.
“i wont be in here for life so lets go to war you already ruined me now its my turn.”
The recipient of the texts, a 26-year-old from Aberdeen, said: “He has no remorse for anything he’s done.”
And although the woman, who asked to remain anonymous, has been free from her abusive ex for more than a year now, the ordeal “still feels fresh,” she added.
At one point, Anderson – who was described as “evil” by his other victim – sent her a message, which read: “am sorry…im going thru hell…i have no one coming to see me just in a proper bad place”.
The upsetting text messages, which were riddled with offensive language and threats, are now being investigated by authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We have received a report of threatening communication and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances”.
And a Scottish Prison Service (SPS) spokesman said that the SPS is aware of a complaint under investigation.
They added: “The SPS does not tolerate the possession of unauthorised mobile phones, and will take action against any prisoners who use them for criminal or threatening purposes”.
It’s understood that prison officials have already taken action against Anderson.
When details emerged of how Anderson abused two girlfriends over a five-year period, one of the victims said she was “absolutely disgusted” to learn what he had done to the woman before her.
Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard that Anderson caused a pregnant partner to miscarry after pushing her down a flight of stairs.
He later forced the distraught woman to dig a grave for their miscarried baby with her bare hands.
And after that relationship ended, Anderson moved on to his next girlfriend who he abused from June 2019 until April 2021.
In one violent incident, Anderson left an imprint of his ring on her face and repeatedly stabbed her in the leg with a pair of scissors.
Speaking at the conclusion of the court case, she said: “The girl in the previous relationship actually messaged when me and Kevin first got together.
“She told me Kevin was evil and he was going to make my life hell. I just brushed it off as a jealous ex, as most girls probably would.
“I wish I could go back in time to believe what was said because maybe I wouldn’t be in the position that I am now.”
