A man was caught with almost £10,000 of crack cocaine and heroin when police stopped his BMW at a petrol station in Aberdeen.
Alexander Law, known as Henderson, was caught when officers, who were aware of intelligence suggesting the BMW X3 was involved in transporting drugs, spotted him pulling into the BP garage on King Street.
And when officers searched the vehicle, they found 84.52g of heroin and 57.27g of crack cocaine stashed in the central console.
Fiscal depute Lynne MacVicar told Aberdeen Sheriff Court: “On Tuesday September 14 2021, intelligence was received to suggest the vehicle in question was being used to convey controlled drugs.
Accused ‘suggested the drugs were nothing to do with his passenger’
“At 6pm that day, officers saw the car on King Street, Aberdeen, pulling into the BP petrol station. The accused was driving and he had a passenger in the front seat.”
Henderson and his car were then taken to Kittybrewster station to be searched.
Ms MacVicar added: “Within the central console, three bags containing a brown substance were recovered, along with two bags containing a white substance.
Background reports ordered
“The accused was arrested. His reply to caution and charge suggested that the drugs were nothing to do with his passenger.”
The substances were forensically examined and found to be heroin, worth up to £4,210, and crack cocaine, worth a maximum of £5,720.
Henderson, whose address was given in court papers as Duthie Terrace, Cairnbulg, pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin.
Sheriff Morag McLaughlin deferred sentence on Henderson until next month for reports.
Defence agent Sam Milligan reserved mitigation until the sentencing hearing.
