Police checked a stationary car in Carrbridge and found its occupant had over £1,000 worth of cocaine inside.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told that officers were on mobile patrol in the village on July 13, 2021, when they approached the car to check if everything was okay.
Fiscal depute Victoria Silver said they had cause to carry out a drugs search and discovered £1,210 worth of the Class A narcotic inside.
‘He no longer has a difficulty with cocaine’
Nicholas McIntosh, of Poldhullie, Strathdon, told officers the 14.2g of the drug was his and had a value of £800, the court heard.
Defence solicitor Natalie Paterson told Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood: “He no longer has a difficulty with cocaine.”
McIntosh, aged 39, admitted illegal possession of a controlled substance and the sheriff deferred sentence until August 11 for a background report.
