A drunk dad who previously threatened to firebomb an ex-partner’s house has been back in the dock for hurling abuse and threats at the same woman.
Dylan Stewart, 25, warned his ex “you best watch” then told her “you are dead…you fat prostitute” during an unprovoked incident around 3pm on September 20 last year.
Fiscal depute Andrew McMann told Aberdeen Sheriff Court that Stewart and his victim were in a relationship for five years until Mach 2021 and had two children together.
He said the woman first heard a man shouting “incoherently” out of a car window at her on Balnagask Road, Torry, Aberdeen before the accused walked past her a short time later.
‘You are dead’
“He walked past her and shouted ‘you best watch’ and she turned away from him to avoid contact,” the fiscal said. “A witness who was with the complainer told him to go away and not to speak to her, to which he replied ‘f*** off’.
“He then said ‘you are dead, you fat prostitute’ before leaving.
“This behaviour left the complainer in a state of fear and alarm.”
Stewart admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by acting aggressively and uttering derogatory remarks towards the woman.
Defence agent Alex Burn said Stewart had been consuming alcohol at the time and had little recollection of what he’d done this time.
‘Troubled upbringing’
He said his client has a “troubled upbringing” and was genuinely remorseful for his behaviour.
Sheriff Lesley Johnston handed Stewart, of Newton Road, Aberdeen, a community payback order for 72 hours of unpaid work.
It was added to two existing orders from October 2021 and May 2022 for offences involving the same woman.
