A serving police officer has been suspended and is facing trial accused of a sex attack on a woman in an Aberdeen nightclub.
James Flaherty denies sexually assaulting the 20-year-old at Prohibition on Langstane Place on January 30.
It is alleged Flaherty, 25, repeatedly seized her by the body, repeatedly pulled her towards him, repeatedly attempted to kiss her and repeatedly grabbed her buttocks.
Police ‘aware’ of court proceedings
He is also alleged to have placed his hand beneath her upper clothing and handled her breast.
Flaherty, whose address was previously given in court papers as care of Professional Standards Department (North), Bucksburn Office, Inverurie Road, Aberdeen, will now stand trial in January.
Flaherty, now of Bredero Drive, Banchory, is a serving police officer and is currently suspended.
A police spokeswoman said: “We are aware of the court proceedings.”
