A north-east police officer has appeared in court facing an allegation of domestic abuse.
Emma Willmott, 23, is accused of engaging in a course of behaviour that was abusive to her partner at an address in Aberdeen over a four-month period.
Willmott is accused of repeatedly threatening to report her partner to police, which would impact his career.
Willmott is also alleged to have made threats to end the relationship if the man did not agree to buy a dog with her.
The charges further state that the police officer also made derogatory remarks, pushed her partner to the body and accused him of having sexual relationships with other people.
Willmott denies all the charges against her and the case was continued at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Accused of WhatsApp threats
It is understood Willmott, who is a serving police officer in Aberdeen, is currently on leave from work due to the nature of the allegations.
The charge against Willmott states that between February 1 and June 19 this year, at an address in Bucksburn, she behaved in an abusive manner towards her partner.
She is accused of repeatedly messaging him on WhatsApp and making a number of threats to end the relationship unless he agreed to buy a dog.
It is also alleged that she made repeated threats to report him to Police Scotland “to the adverse effect of his career”.
Willmott, of Ashwood Park, Bridge of Don, is additionally accused of repeatedly uttering threats, making derogatory remarks and making remarks directed at him relating to pregnancy.
Claims woman made demands over dogs
The charge sheet further states that Willmott would leave her dogs in the man’s care without his consent and, on other occasions, demand that he look after her dogs.
It also claims she pushed her partner to the body and accused him of having a sexual relationship with another person
Willmott’s defence agent Gary McIlravey entered a plea of not guilty on her behalf.
Sheriff Graham Buchanan granted Willmott bail and set a further hearing date and a trial date for her to appear in court.
