An Inverness man who threatened to “blow his head off” with a gun had his sentence deferred for a treatment order to be continued.
Lee Donnachie, 35, of 151 Mackay Road, Inverness previously admitted a breach of the peace charge by making the claim in the presence of two housing support workers on October 20 last year.
Armed officers were sent to his home in the Hilton area of the Highland capital.
But no firearm was found on the premises.
He has since been placed on a drug treatment testing order and Sheriff Marion McDonald yesterday continued the order before sentencing him.
He will return to court on Friday, February 6.
At a previous sitting of the court, fiscal depute Kelly Mitchell said that Donnachie had told the social workers that he was suicidal and had purchased a gun for £400.
Donnachie’s agent, solicitor Rory Gowans, said: “He made a stupid throwaway comment and regrets doing that.”
