Teenager in court after £70,000 heroin and crack cocaine seizure

A teenager has appeared in court after more than £70,000 of heroin and crack cocaine were allegedly seized in Aberdeen.

Officers raided a property on Middlefield Crescent in Aberdeen on April 12, where they recovered £72,000 worth of the Class A substances.

Two men had been charged after police carried out a four-month-long investigation.

Isaiah Grant from the Chesterfield area of England is accused of two charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

It’s alleged that he was in possession of the drugs which he intended to supply to others.

At Aberdeen Sheriff Court, the 18-year-old made no plea and was committed for further examination and released on bail.

Grant will return to court at a later stage on a date still to be confirmed.

It’s understood that a 50-year-old man will also appear in court at a later date.
