A 38-year-old Inverness man who attacked his partner in the street has been jailed for four months at Inverness Sheriff Court.
Colin Kerr, of 151 Mackay Road, Inverness, who is already serving a jail sentence for breaching a drug treatment and testing order, admitted breaking the peace by shouting and swearing at Yvonne Murray at her home in Smithton on December 18.
He also admitted attending at the Criminal Justice Social Work offices at the castle later the same day, where Ms Murray was at a meeting and causing another breach of the peace.
The court was told he again shouted and swore, banged on the windows and made an abusive gesture at a social worker.
When Ms Murray left there, he approached her in Castle Street, pinned her against a wall and seized hold of her arms. He admitted the charge of assault.
The court heard that his earliest release date was March 12, but Sheriff David Sutherland told Kerr that the latest sentence would have to be served at the conclusion of his current one.
