A man previously jailed for drug dealing has found himself back before the court on charges of being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
Liam Munro was caught with scales, a grinder and a small amount of herbal cannabis.
But messages on his phone showed he had been communicating with 19 people about the sale of drugs.
Munro, 35, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court to pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
Fiscal depute Emma McEwan said police raided Munro’s home in Inverness’ Hilton Court on August 21 2020 and he was found in the living room.
‘Reefer-style cigarettes’
A subsequent search of the home uncovered a grinder with cannabis in it, more cannabis in the kitchen, a set of digital scales, a mobile phone and “reefer-style” cigarettes.
A cybercrime report was carried out on Munro’s mobile phone, which revealed social media messages from 19 different people about drug deals.
In one exchange Munro asks “What are you needing?” to which the recipient responds “Henry” – slang for a quantity of drugs weighing one-eighth of an ounce.
Man got cannabis for ‘friends’
Solicitor Mhyrin Hill told the court that her client had been “involved in social supply” of cannabis.
“He advises that it was a group of friends who smoked cannabis and it was essentially that he would provide it to them,” she said.
Ms Hill also acknowledged that her client had previously served a jail term for a similar offence.
Sheriff Sara Matheson deferred sentence until next month for the preparation of reports
