Airport-style metal detectors have been used on the door at Inverness Sheriff Court as part of an ongoing police crackdown on anti-social behaviour.
Officers from the flexible policing unit carried out scans at the city court last week as part of Operation Respect.
They used a mobile walk-through metal detector in a bid to deter anti-social behaviour on the court grounds, including controlled drugs or offensive weapons.
No weapons were detected as a result of the search but one man was reported in connection with repeated public drinking offences.
Police also used metal detectors on the doors at a number of pubs and bars in the city during the festive period.
Chief Inspector Jennifer MacDonald said: “Ongoing operations as part of Operation Respect help to communicate the message that violence and anti-social behaviour is not acceptable.
“We will continue working very closely with partner agencies and the licensed trade to ensure that members of the public are kept safe across in the Highlands and Islands.”
