William Forrest is alleged to have attempted to kill the wild bird at 13 School Place, Aberdeen, on December 24. The 37-year-old, of 22 Wingate Road, Aberdeen, is also accused of causing alarm and distress by “discharging a rifle” at the bird in a public place. Forrest’s solicitor, Les Green, denied the charges on his behalf when the case called at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday. He will go on trial later this year.
