Two people have appeared in court accused of attempted murder and robbery after a man was allegedly stabbed multiple times in Fraserburgh.
Emergency services were called to the Watermill Road area of Fraserburgh late on Saturday evening in response to an incident, which left a 33-year-old male injured.
Two other men were arrested in connection with the incident and have now appeared in private in court over the matter.
John Buchan, 44, and Jamie Dingwall, 30, each faced a charge of assault to injury, danger of life, attempted murder and robbery.
No details on injured man’s condition
The pair, both of Fraserburgh, did not enter a plea during the behind-closed-doors hearing at Peterhead Sheriff Court.
The case against the men was committed for further examination and Buchan was granted bail while Dingwall was remanded in custody.
Police were unable to provide any information as to the condition of the injured man.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Two men aged, 44 and 30, have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 33-year-old man in which happened in Watermill Road, Fraserburgh, around 10.55pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
“He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.”
