A warrant has been granted for the arrest of a thief who stole Boyzone memorabilia during a break-in at an Aberdeen house.
David Stirton raided the property on Byron Crescent in July last year and stole a poster, a number of dolls, photographs, mugs and a necklace – all themed around the smash hit 90s boyband.
The 49-year-old also broke into the Three Lums pub on Lewis Road and stole alcohol.
He had been due to be sentenced over the matters at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today but, despite initially attending, he left the building before his case was called.
Sheriff Graham Buchanan then granted a warrant for his arrest.
Stirton, whose address was given in court papers as Lewis Road, Aberdeen, had admitted two charges of theft by housebreaking at an earlier hearing.
It is understood one of the items taken was a doll of the band’s late singer Stephen Gately.
The poster, necklace and other items were also Boyzone-themed.
