A 43-year-old drug dealer was jailed for six months yesterday at Inverness Sheriff Court.
Brian Robertson admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin at his home at 2 Upper Kessock Street, Inverness, in December last year.
Police who searched his home found drugs hidden in two Kinder Eggs.
Fiscal depute Michelle Molley told the court that police received intelligence about Robertson.
She said: “Police on mobile patrol saw him leave his house and go to the city centre in a taxi. He was traced and arrested.
“When searched, he had over £1,000 in his clothing. A search warrant was executed for his home and more cash was found.
“A wrap of heroin was also discovered as well as a set of scales and heroin in two Kinder eggs and a cash box containing £515. In total 9.27 grams of heroin was recovered, with a street value of £820 and £1,737 in cash.”
Defence lawyer John MacColl said: “He no longer uses heroin and he was only supplying to a small number of people. He has one previous drugs conviction in 2006 and his last offence was in 2009.”
