A 34-year-old ambulance technician who was found with a “legal high” he had bought before they became illegal was fined £200 at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Christopher Green, of 24 Munro Place, Dingwall, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted possessing MAM-2201 in the town on April 5 last year.
Fiscal depute Laura Ryan told Sheriff David Sutherland police had obtained a search warrant for the flat and found 39g of the drug.
Defence solicitor Duncan Henderson said: “He bought the substances when they were legal and paid £87 for them. He accepts that they became illegal, he knew about this and he did nothing about them.
“He no longer uses them. Also he was not the subject of the warrant – it was someone else at the flat.”
