A Nairn man who was caught dealing drugs when police raided his home has been spared a jail sentence.
Andrew Robertson previously admitted being concerned in the supply of more than £2,800 worth of cannabis at his home at 1 Laing Gardens.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard a total of 286 grams of the drug were found during the raid on July 28, 2012, some of it already prepared in one gram deals.
Yesterday, the 34-year-old’s defence solicitor advocate Shahid Latif said he had since removed himself from a negative peer group, and had not been in trouble since.
Sheriff David Sutherland accepted the case had been “hanging over his head” for nearly three years, and ordered him to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work as part of a community payback order.
