A man has been charged following a series of housebreakings and attempted housebreakings to premises in the Banff and Macduff areas over the weekend.
The 29-year-old, who is thought to have targeted businesses in both ports including the Red Cross and a lifeboat station, will appear in Peterhead Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Scott Gove, of the Banff community policing team, said: “These crimes have caused significant upset in the local community and we’d like to thank the public for their support and assistance throughout our enquiries.”
