Kyle MacGregor fell out with his brother at a function in a local hall. He later turned up at his brother’s home, Lerwick Sheriff Court heard yesterday, but “wasn’t really welcome” due to his “aggressive” behaviour. The 22-year-old later returned to the house and fired five pellets, cracking several glass windowpanes. The incident happened in the early hours of August 23 at an address in Mossbank. Defence agent Tommy Allan said told the court MacGregor, of 4 Brae Head, Mossbank, only wanted to “cause nuisance, rather than harm”. Sheriff Mark Thorley said incidents with guns can often “end in disaster” and that MacGregor was lucky there was no “lasting result”. He gave him 120 hours of unpaid work to carry out as part of a community payback order.
