A 35-year-old man has been charged following a fire aboard a Peterhead trawler on Thursday night.
The blaze broke out at around 10.30pm on November 19.
The man is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police, fire, and lifeboat teams had been dispatched to the boat, the Tranquility, shortly after 10.30pm.
Four fire appliances were sent to the vessel, docked in the harbour’s sea gate, to battle the blaze, which was described by a spokeswoman for the fire service as a “well developed fire”.
The vessel burned into the early hours of Friday morning, and large clouds of smoke were seen above the harbour.
Peterhead’s lifeboat was sent out to assist the fire crews by searching for anyone who may have gone overboard.
