A man and woman are to appear in court following a drugs seizure in the Raigmore area of Inverness.
The pair were arrested after Class A drugs believed to be heroin and Class B believed to be cannabis were recovered on Wednesday night.
A 23-year-old man and 48-year-old woman have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court at a later date.
The arrests were made following the recovery of drugs with an estimated street value in excess of £2,500 and a four figure sum of cash.
Officers made the discovery during the search of a vehicle and an address in the city.
Detective Inspector Mark Czerniakiewicz of Inverness Police said: “This was part of ongoing efforts to remove heroin from the streets of Inverness.
“We are carrying out increased patrols in areas that have been identified to us by the public and would encourage anyone who has information or concerns regarding drug activity to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
