Members of a Glaswegian crime gang will appear in Inverness Sheriff Court today.
Six men, believed to part of an organised crime group from Glasgow, are to be reported for a series of dishonesties in the Ross-shire area.
The dishonesties are reported to have taken place between September 2015 and January 2016 and as such, six Eastern European men aged 24, 31, 34, 39, 48 and 51 are to appear from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court today (Tuesday January 26).
Chief Superintendent Julian Innes: “I would seek this opportunity to acknowledge the fantastic work undertaken by local officers in apprehending the six Eastern European men, who have been arrested and reported to the Procurator Fiscal. I am also very grateful for the continued support from both the public and the media.
“This is not the first time we have been targeted by organised crime groups because we are remote and rural.
“Can I ask that people living and working within our communities remain vigilant and mindful of security and continue to contact us regarding any suspicious behaviour as we send a clear deterrent message to these criminals and help keep our communities safe.”
