A French woman has been accused of driving carelessly and causing the death of a passenger in another car in a collision on a north section of the A9.
France Loutier denied the charge on indictment, through an agent, at Wick Sheriff Court yesterday, and will stand trial on June 20.
The 64-year-old is alleged to have crossed hazard warning lines on the road at Ramscraigs, near Dunbeath village, in Caithness, into the path of a Jaguar. The front seat passenger who died, was 72-year-old Elizabeth Williams, from Thurso. .
The tragedy occurred on June 20, last year. Lautier’s address was given as c/o David Chretien, Easterhill, Gorebridge, in the hamlet of Thrumster, near Wick.
