David Latham today faced the accusation during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow. The offence is said to have happened in Brora in the Highlands on an occasion between May 2011 and July 2012. The indictment states Latham allegedly attacked the woman “while she was changing” a baby on a bed. Latham also faces a separate rape charge against the same female as well as two assault charges. The 35 year-old is further accused of two allegations of raping another woman. These are said to have happened in Inverness in 2014. Latham is also charged with assaulting her. Bill Adam, defending, today entered not guilty pleas on his behalf. Judge Lord Burns set a trial due to begin in October. Latham, of Inverness, had his bail continued.
