Hidayet Ozden, from Falkirk, is accused of murdering Shahzad Shah at Mirchi Indian Cuisine in Mintlaw, The 52-year-old also faces a charge of assault. He made no plea or declaration during the brief private hearing at Peterhead Sheriff Court today, and was remanded in custody. He is expected to reappear again next week. Emergency services were called to the popular takeaway at about 5.30pm on Monday, following reports of an alleged disturbance. Mr Shah, 56, could not be saved and died at the scene.
