A 20-year-old has been arrested and charged with assault to severe injury and perverting the course of justice. A 21-year-old woman has also been charged with perverting the course of justice. They are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today. The 52-year-old victim was found on Millburn Road at about 1.20am having suffered serious head injuries. Police confirmed he remains in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a critical but stable condition. A spokeswoman for the force said: “Police would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance with this matter. “The public response via social media was especially helpful to the investigation.”
