A man has been arrested after drugs worth more than £100,000 were seized on the A9.
Officers from Community Intelligence Unit stopped a vehicle on the road south of Inverness on Wednesday night.
They recovered cannabis, which a police spokeswoman said had a street value potentially in excess of £100,000.
A 43-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal following the search.
He is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court tomorrow.
The force spokeswoman said: “Police would appeal to anyone with concerns about drugs in their local community to make contact via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
