An offshore worker who sent his former partner four text messages in a couple of hours while he was banned from contacting her has been given six months to show he can be of good behaviour.
Ronald MacDonald, 39, of 78 Glenkingie Street, Caol, pleaded guilty at Fort William Sheriff Court yesterday to contacting Tracey MacDonald while subject to a domestic abuse interdict prohibiting him from communicating with her.
The court heard that the interdict was imposed in September of last year and the four texts were sent between 6.30am and 8.50am on February 17.
Gerry Sweeney, representing MacDonald, said his client admitted breaching the order, but pointed out that Ms MacDonald had been texting him first.
Sheriff Richard Davidson deferred sentencing MacDonald until October 11.
