A crackdown on offenders breaching their curfews in a north-east town has led to three arrests.
Police have carried out checks on people living under court-imposed restrictions, who have been released on bail conditions, as part of a three-day operation.
One 35-year-old man, convicted of a domestic bail offence was arrested and is due to appear in Peterhead Sheriff Court.
Two further men, aged 36 and 39, were tracked down in relation to outstanding warrants, which subsequently led to their arrests.
Officers said the “majority” of people were found to be adhering to their curfew rules.
The operation was launched on Monday.
Sergeant Colin Houston said: “This recent action demonstrates once again the excellent work carried out by our local officers and the need to carry out targeted, proactive operations to ensure our communities are as safe as they can be.
“Police Scotland is committed to reducing crime and keeping communities safe, and I would urge anyone with any concerns to contact officers on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
