More than 150 people have descended on Aberdeen’s Marischal College in a protest over climate change.
Many of those involved are secondary school pupils taking a day off to protest in the heart of Europe’s oil capital. They feel politicians are not doing enough to combat the problem.
The school strikes are part of a global day of action which has seen young people take to the streets from New Zealand to Europe as part of an expected 2,000 events in more than 120 countries.
It’s the first in a week-long series of events designed to raise awareness and follow on from similar protests in February.
Chants were shouted and placards held up by the youthful crowd.
