The body found at Loch of Boardhouse on Orkney at the weekend is that of missing fisherman, Boyd Livingstone, police confirmed today.
The 68 year old from Dounby was reported missing two weeks ago after failing to return from a fishing trip with his brother Andrew, 71.
Andrew’s body was recovered from the shoreline at Loch of Boardhouse near Birsay shortly after a major search operation was launched the following day.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police can confirm that following the recovery of a man’s body at Loch of Boardhouse, his identity can be confirmed as: Boyd Livingstone, aged 68, from Dounby.
“Police Scotland would like to thank all partner agencies and members of the local community who assisted with the search.”
