A tiny Highland village is enjoying its moment in the sun today as the hottest place anywhere in the UK.
Kinlochewe, in Wester Ross, has been basking in the sunshine as temperatures soar to a toasty 26C.
It could well mean ‘taps aff’ for the 60 lucky inhabitants in the town and a few visitors are sure to pop by to taking in the summer weather.
Highlights in the area include the Torridon Hills, which boast some of the most stunning views in the country and the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve.
