Crews tackle fire at Skye hotel

Fire crews have tackled a fire which started in a tumble dryer at a Highland hotel this afternoon.

Two appliances – one each from Broadford and Kyle – were called to the Kings Arms Hotel in Kyleakin, Skye, following the 999 call at about 5pm.

The scale of the damage is unknown at this stage but crews successfully extinguished the fire by about 5.35pm.
