Woman trapped and road closed after two-car crash in Argyll

The A83 trunk road is closed in Mid Argyll where a woman is currently trapped in her vehicle following a two-car crash.

The collision took place near Lochgair, a village outside of Lochgilphead, on the route which runs from Tarbet on Loch Lomondside to Campbeltown.

A police spokeswoman said: “Two cars have collided one mile south of Lochgair. We got the call at 2.30pm.

“The road is closed. There is a report of a woman still within on of the vehicles.”
