Inquiries are continuing into two serious crashes which occurred on a main Highland road yesterday.
The first happened at around 11.10am, approximately two miles south of Drumnadrochit on the A82, and involved a motorcycle and car.
The 55-year-old male biker, who sustained serious injuries, was flown by coastguard helicopter to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
At around 2.15pm emergency services were called out to a second incident, about two miles south of Invermoriston which involved one motorcyclist.
The 29 year old man was flown by air ambulance to the Inverness hospital with serious injuries.
Inquiries into both collisions are ongoing by officers of the Trunk Road Patrol Group based in Dingwall.
Constable Angus Murray of Road Policing Unit added: “As the good weather continues, more and more motorcyclists are taking to the roads, police in the Highlands want to make sure that they do this safely. I would urge bikers to reduce their speed and think of the personal consequences of taking risks when biking.
“I would like to remind riders to Keep Yourself Safe and consider the devastating consequences being involved in a crash would have on your family and friends.”
“We want riders to enjoy their time when riding in the Highlands, however, more importantly we want them to make it home safely.”
