Firefighters are damping down after a fire on the Ardnamurchan peninsula
Firefighters have extinguished a fire in a remote house at the western end of the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
A fire service spokesman said they received a report of smoke coming from the roof of a property at Portuairk, near Kilchoan, in Lochaber, soon after 6pm.
He said a crew from Kilchoan used two sets of breathing apparatus and a short extension ladder to tackle the blaze.
He added that they were now damping down after the fire and venting the property to remove the smoke.
No one was hurt in the incident.
