Image: Supplied. A canoeist who capsized off Salen Pier on the Isle of Mull was rescued by a lifeboat. A Coastguard spokeswoman said the incident took place at around 3.30pm. Tobermory Lifeboat, Tobermory Coastguard Rescue Team, Knock and Craignure Inland Rescue Teams all went to the scene. The spokeswoman said: “The man was rescued from the water by the lifeboat.” He was then taken to hospital by ambulance where his condition was not thought to be serious.
