The Duchess of Argyll opened up the grounds of her home at Inveraray Castle at the weekend for a feast of music and food – and hailed the event as “fantastic”.
The two-day Best of the West Festival is an annual celebration of all that is good on the west coast of Scotland.
Top bands, including Manran, Skipinnish and The League of Highland Gentlemen entertained the crowds throughout the event.
And there was plenty of delicious fare to sample and cookery demonstrations from a variety of local, Scottish and international chefs using the best of the region’s ingredients.
Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, Churchill Venison and Bumble Puddings were among those producing some of the freshest food throughout the weekend.
A blend of live music and drams from more than 20 distilleries on the west coast also kept customers happy in the popular whisky tent.
And those looking for a different tipple could partake of everything from cocktails to specially-brewed beers.
Children under eight were allowed into the festival free of charge, with a range of activities – including bungee trampolines, face-painting and climbing walls – devised to keep them entertained.
The festival also showcased an array of unique stalls exhibiting quality art, crafts and design in jewellery and textiles.
Festival organiser Eleanor Campbell, The Duchess of Argyll, said: “Best of the West 2016 has been a fantastic weekend, with a great atmosphere from start to finish.
“The crowd made the most of the delicious local food, drink and children’s entertainment, whilst our top music acts provided an excellent soundtrack to the festival through the weekend.”
