An annual charity cycling, running and rambling event returned to Fort George this weekend to raise vital funds for Poppyscotland.
Around 100 people took part in the event, covering distances of up to 12 miles.
This year, the charity also introduced a duathlon for those looking to really challenge themselves on the day.
One brave participant, Gemma Birnie, took the challenge a step further by successfully completing the 5km race on a unicycle.
As well as upping the cycling stakes, young walker Aidan Streames went that extra mile with his own challenge by walking backwards.
To reward their sporting efforts, participants were presented with medals by local veterans from Legion Scotland’s Nairn Branch and members of the World War I re-enactment troop who were at Fort George to perform in the Highland Military Tattoo.
Danny Streames, regional fundraiser at Poppyscotland, said: “We would like to thank everyone who took part in Ride, Ramble or Run for Poppyscotland this weekend.
“Not only is the event a fun day out with family and friends, it also raises hundreds of pounds for our armed forces community in Scotland.”
