Oban’s newest supermarket will be opened by MP for Argyll and Bute Brendan O’Hara on Thursday.
Mr O’Hara will cut the ribbon at the brand new Lidl store on Soroba Road.
The Oban High School pipe band will also help to mark the occasion.
Creating eight new jobs, the store boasts state of the art facilities including an instore bakery and longer-style tills.
Gordon Rafferty, Lidl UK’s head of property for Scotland, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Oban, the first of its kind in Scotland. It is wonderful for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”
