This is the moment a van driver almost crashed into a motorcyclist – after it overtook a lorry that had stopped to give way.
Chris Cogan, a joiner from Rogart, Sutherland, was travelling home from Inverness along the B9176 Struie Road when he came to the Dalneich Bridge, between Alness and Struie Hill.
It was around 11.30am and in the opposite direction a log lorry was also approaching the crossing. After the lorry driver flashed his lights, Chris began making his way across the bridge.
It was here that he nearly crashed into a motorcyclist who had overtaken the lorry, not knowing that Chris was heading around the bend.
It’s a near miss and Chris is able to stop his van before two more motorcycles attempt the same manoeuvre.
The Highland joiner decided to share the video to show “the risks people make and how easily it can result in injury”.
“Also I thought it might get back to those riding the bikes how stupid and lucky they have been.
“Myself and the lorry driver had no idea they where overtaking as you see the lorry starts moving as I get up to it.
“Hopefully if it makes one biker think about their actions, it was worth the effort putting it online.”
