A festival combining snowsports and dance music is to return for a second offering next year.
Stars including Hot Chip and Grandmaster Flash appeared at the inqugural Groove Cairngorm earlier this year.
The organisers confirmed that it will take place over the weekend of Friday, February 24 in partnership with CairnGorm Mountain.
The festival combines snowsports at the ski centre with two stages with DJs and acoustic sets.
It is followed with a party into the early hours at the Badaguish Outdoor Centre.
Dougie Brown, one of Groove’s founders, said: “We are delighted to be taking Groove back to the Mountain next year. After the incredible success and positive feedback from our inaugural festival we are looking forward to recreating some of the magic again in 2017 with a winter snowsports festival on home snow that doesn’t break the bank.”
Emma Beagrie, senior marketing manager at Natural Retreats added: “Natural Retreats CairnGorm Mountain is the perfect location for a snowsports festival and after the success of this year’s event we’re excited to host what is sure to be another great weekend in 2017.”
The full 2017 line-up will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for this year’s festival go on sale Friday 30th September at 10am, and have been kept at 2016 prices.
They are available from the festival’s website.
