Updated designs for dualling a section of the A9 in the Highlands are to be revealed next week.
Transport Scotland will put their latest plans for the Dalwhinnie to Crubenmore section on public show on Tuesday.
The agency revealed its preferred route for the five-mile section earlier this year.
The work primarily involves widening the existing road on its southern side, with the route constrained by hilly ground and the River Truim which flows close to the road.
A full graded junction will be built to the south of Dalwhinnie providing access to the village.
There is also a northbound length of widening and a full grade separated junction to the south of Dalwhinnie.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “Public engagement is at the heart of our ambitious plans to dual the A9 from Perth to Inverness.
“As part of that ongoing engagement, this public drop-in for the Dalwhinnie to Crubenmore dualling project is an opportunity for local communities and road users to view the design developments which have taken place since the preferred route for the project was announced earlier this year.
“We would encourage anyone with an interest in this section of the route to go along next Tuesday and comment on our proposals.”
The consultation event will take place at Dalwhinnie Village Hall between 12pm and 7pm on Tuesday, October 11.
