Police have thanked the public for their help during a clamp down on anti-social driving in the Thurso area.
During the campaign officers issued a total of five fixed penalty notices for exhaust offences, six anti-social behaviour orders against drivers and detected a number of other miscellaneous offences.
As part of the campaign officers also ran two drop in advice sessions and conducted numerous speed checks at various locations in and around Thurso.
During this period there has been a significant drop in the number of complaints in Thurso relating to driver behaviour and police would like to thank motorists for adopting a more considerate approach to the way they drive.
A police spokesman said: “Whilst the campaign has come to a formal conclusion, police officers are keen to remind motorists that Police Scotland will continue with high visibility patrols and will take action regarding anti-social driving and other road traffic offences and this will continue indefinitely in Thurso.”
