Intense examinations are currently underway to determine the cause of a ferry crash on North Uist.
MV Hebrides is in dry dock at Greenock while workers asses the full extent of the damage and begin repairs.
The ferry has been out of action after crashing in Lochmaddy harbour in the Western Isles on September 25.
The vessel had 76 passengers onboard when it ran aground on the rocky seabed.
Pontoons at Lochmaddy Marina were also destroyed when the ferry collided with them and then banged into the pier while going astern after freeing off rocks.
A CalMac spokesman said:”MV Hebrides arrived in dry dock on Saturday and the yard has been working round the clock since then to understand the full extent of any damage and begin repairs.
“This is a time-consuming exercise but is necessary to provide vital information which can be fed into the broader investigation into what happened.
“Until investigations and examinations are complete we cannot give any indication of a date for completion and return to service but customers can be assured we are doing everything we can to return her to service as soon as possible.”
Disruption to ferry services in the Western Isles is expected to continue until at least Friday.
