An extensive air, land and sea search is underway in Lochaber for a missing man whose car has been found deserted. Police are coordinating the search for Scott Clarke, 41, who has been reported missing from the West Midlands and believed to be in the area. His black, “56” registered Ford Focus was left on the A82, just south of Ballachulish yesterday. Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen a man matching Mr Clarke’s description to make contact. He is slim, with brown hair. The local Coastguard and RNLI lifeboat crews have joined the search of land and water around the village. Police do not believe Mr Clarke was planning to walk or climb in the area, and say “concerns are increasing for his wellbeing.” Anyone with information about is possible whereabouts should call police on 101.
