A group of kindhearted knitters have teamed up to send an army of woollen Loch Ness Monsters around the globe to raise money for charity.
Volunteers sent in their knitted Highland creations to organisers at the Loch Ness Knit Fest and buyers from around the world flocked to get their hands on the cuddly Nessies.
The Knit Fest were able to raise nearly £800 from the sale, with buyers purchasing tickets for a chance to win a Nessie raffle.
In a post shared to social media site Facebook, the Loch Ness Knit Fest wrote: “It was great to see all our lovely knitted Nessies finding new home on Sunday and making lots of money for Archie Highlands.
“This little Nessie has found a new home in the seaside town of Nairn. We would love to see photos of Nessies in other home towns or cities.”
A spokesman for Archie Highlands said: “We would like to say a huge thankyou to everyone who so kindly knitted a Nessie for Loch Ness Knit Fest.
“The amount of cuddly creations sent from across the globe was truly incredible.
“We loved reading the letters and stories that came with so many of them.”
“Thanks to you and the amazing festival goers a whopping £792.74 was raised from raffle tickets and Nessie sales.”
