Police are appealing to the public for information following an attempted housebreaking at a property in a Ross-shire village.
The incident involved a panel being removed from the rear door of a property in the Cromarty Drive area of Milton, and happened some time between 4pm and 4.45pm on Friday.
It is believed the property was not accessed and no items were taken but police are appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Police have also advised householders to consider home security by increasing outdoor lighting around homes, sheds and outbuildings to deter potential thieves as daylight hours continue to reduce.
